No-Reg Primary

Hi,

Why exactly would the following be configured under a DN?

number 5555 secondary 12341115555 no-reg primary

I've never seen the No-Reg Primary added before, so not to sure on exact reasons. I'm guessing it's to do with an external number being able to reach the internal extension?
Someone explain it in and easy to understand way?
