Is an i3 processor enough for a lab esxi cucm cluster?

Looking to build a mini-itx esxi server for a lab/esxi CUCM cluster.

It will have 16 gigs of ram but I am debating if I should go all out with a xeon or if an i3 with hyperthreading is more than sufficient.

Looking at the Core i3-2120T.

I won't be using this box for anything else.

Any ideas?

How many virtual machines do you plan to run? What kindof resources are required by the version of CUCM you intend to use?

I have my CUCM & CUC 8.6 running on old Q9600 with 8GB of DDR2 Ram. So I think it should work fine.
