Looking around for Bash and Python Scripts today and I found this website called coder.org
Code.org | Dedicated to growing computer programming education
A website dedicated to home-grown software developers via education. Kinda of looks in the vein of Khan Academy or Code Academy.

While I think it is a great idea. I myself have struggled with learning how to code for years, and have always wanted to get better at it. However, I see two main stumbling blocks.
1. Our public school system and college education system. I'm a big fan of
John Taylor Gatto, I'm a product of these two institutions and basically agree with him. Corporations like Burger King, Taco Bell and Wal-Mart have off-loaded their basic training needs onto these institutions and its mission isn't to turn out computer science and/or computer engineers. Basically public schools/college create "employees," people who show up ontime, do what they are told, and don't think out of box.
2. Its ironic that Bill Gates and Bill Clinton and endorsing this website with their presence, yet at the same time, they undermine tech workers here in the US by asking for more HB-1 visas, because the schools here in the USA, they claim, can't produce those with the proper skillset.

Maybe we are beating a dead horse here on techexams, or maybe we'll generate some new discussion on this subject. I always find myself interested in these subjects since I have a love for technology and a product of the education system of the USA.
