I understand subnetting isn't really on the sec+ exam. However, Darril's book still covers it to some degree. To what degree does the exam cover it? I'm confused about how deep I need to know this topic.
Be able to identify where an address would fall in which subnet. There is not extensive subnetting on the exam and the only question I had on it was very easy.
I didn't have any questions about subnetting on my test, at least that I remember. But I imagine if there was it would be very simple, probably along the lines of which "address(s) fits in this subnet range?"
