Cannot install SQL 2008 SP3

First time I've come across this error. The patch starts to run, then asks which instances to update. You cannot click on the individual boxes, and clicking on the select all box just depresses the button, does not select. This is for a test server, but it still is ticking me off that it wont work. Anyone run across this before? I have tried two different mice, I have logged into it remotely, all with the same effect.

Does SQL 2008 SP3 have the same issues with WMF 3 that Exchange 2010 does? Locate KB2506143 Windows Management Framework 3.0 in installed updates from add/remove programs and uninstall it.
