ICND2 - Frame Relay Authentication?

Hi Everyone,
I see that PPP has PAP and CHAP. Does Frame-Relay have any form of authentication?

    Frame relay as it stands does not support authentication but if you run PPP over Frame then you can use authentication with pap or chap. It has been a long time since I looked at this but I believe you would need to use a virtual template interface (which runs ppp natively) which you'd configure the PPP authentication on. You'd then need to configure it onto the serial interface using a combination of the frame interface statement and the virtual template interface.
    I am not aware of any other method unless someone else can elaborate?

    From what I know, Frame Relay does not have any form of authentication compared to PPP.
    Goals for 2013
    - Get into a Computer Engineering program for university [✓]
    - Earn my CCNA Certification [✓]
    - Earn my CompTIA A+ Certification [ ]
    And then I will decide what to do from there...
