I'm 21 now, so I'm hoping by 22 I'll have my NP, then start branching off into security and wireless since my environment DEMANDS it more and more (yum yum, so much funding being approved!)

You people make me feel young again.. I was 18 when I passed ccnp route, and will perhaps obtain the entire thing before 20. But gearing towards my degree(s) now which I think is more important/beneficial for the time being. -

22. Should have got it a couple of years ago when I passed BCMSN to renew my CCNA, but lost interest.

I'll be 36 in june, and will hopefully have the route exam completed by then, im in revision mode at the moment. Probably be 37 or 38 by the time I complete the NP. I don't have as much time to allocate as I would like.

I earned my CCNA at 26.
Second CCNA (after 1st CCNA expired) was earned at 30.
By the time I earn CCNP (ROUTE already passed) I will be 30.Best, sacredboy! -

CCSP® & CCNP® both earned @29! The security one took me 2 years of preparation and passing the various needed exams whereas the routing&switching cert I managed to build upon acquired knowledge/confidence and get it finished in a 6month period (not counting the CCNA® exam requirement just the 3 Pro level exams).

Wow! I am very impressed to see some people getting their NPs in their very early 20s. I wish I had my head focused on what I wanted to do with life at that time

Looks like the average age is in the early twenties. I'm working on my NP, been busy with school and I've just received my Masters degree which doesn't have an expiration date. I'm 19 and I'm going to give myself the CCNP as a present for my twentieth birthday(or a little while after that, depends on how much time I have) And a hundred billion percent - CCNP Security before 21. If I wasn't dealing with so much programming, I probably could have done it faster since I love networking so much. Yes, I am a criminal. My crime is that of curiosity. 34 for me. Spent a year and a half getting it - although I'm married with two small children so study time was difficult to come by. If I had been wise enough to get it back in my 20's instead of barhopping, I might be an IE now instead of just starting to study for the written....but such is life
Cisco was my first networking love, but my "other" router is a Mikrotik... -

I'm 31 now and hope to have it by 32. I had originally intended to continue on [after finishing Semester 4 of CCNA] to the CCNP courses in College (I was 19 at the time), but graduated before I could take the courses as each course was only offered once a year.R&S: CCENT → CCNA → CCNP → CCIE [ ]

24. I think I was at the CCNP level when I was 22 though. It's hard to predict when ill be getting my next cert. Half of the engineers at work don't believe in certs. The other half are CCIE's.Follow my CCDE journey at www.routingnull0.com -

Got my CCNA when I was 25, and again not long ago at 28, plan on obtaining the CCNP right around the 29th B-Day depending on how much time I need to invest in training for the new VoIP position I'm starting Monday. -

I would love to get it but at this stage in career (24 years old) I don't think I'll be in a position to use the knowledge. Currently transitioning to more of an IA role so my networking days maybe behind me.
