Security knowledge on the CCNA

BobNakamuraBobNakamura Member Posts: 37 ■■□□□□□□□□
Hi,

For the CCNA Composite Exam, how much stuff do we need to know in terms of the security (e.g. securing routing protocols?).

Thank you!

Edit: Also, will we be required to set up Cisco SDM by any chance?
Goals for 2013
- Get into a Computer Engineering program for university [✓]
- Earn my CCNA Certification [✓]
- Earn my CompTIA A+ Certification [ ]
And then I will decide what to do from there...

Probably not the SDM it was replace with the CCP which basically the same thing. I know it say the SDM on the exam topics but I don't think you can download SDM anymore.

I found Lammle's book to complete for my CCENT and CCNA exams.

Do not ask other members what were on their exams and do not share what was on your exams.

As Carl said, those books or the CCNA Exam Cram book contain everything you need.

From what I recall, PPP authentication (chap/pap) and ACL's are pretty much the extent of the CCNA?
    Modularity and Design Simplicity:

Think of the 2:00 a.m. test—if you were awakened in the
middle of the night because of a network problem and had to figure out the
traffic flows in your network while you were half asleep, could you do it?
