in CCNA & CCENT
Hi all
I´m self studying for CCNA. I just finished Lammle´s book and I wanted to ask if there is a small/dense book so as to go through the topics again avoiding all the extensive talk of Lammle´s book, something like a reference book. Any suggestion on a book or an alternative method to go through the topics again would be much appreciated.

NetworkVeteran Member Posts: 2,338 ■■■■■■■■□□If you feel you've learned everything in Lammle's book, you're prepared. If you feel you only half-learned it, Odom is the Lammle alternative. If you feel you mostly learned it but need some review, consider CBT Nuggets ($24/day).
Don't forget to log some hands-on practice as well. -
pamccabe Member Posts: 315 ■■■□□□□□□□I haven't read Lammle's book, however, I have read Odom's book. After reading it, I did the free practice exam it came with. I assume Lammle's has the same. After seeing my weak areas, I went through and read the key topics of each chapter on my weak areas. Sorry, might not be what you are asking, but it is a method of not going through and reading a book twice. Although, I find I am picking up a lot of information that I missed the first time through. Otherwise, I have heard of books called '31 Days till CCENT'. They were cheap when I looked at them, especially the ebooks, and they touch the key topics before the exam. Might have to google the exact names. Hope my rambling helped somewhat.

MrXpert Member Posts: 586 ■■■□□□□□□□Router Alley's free CCNA book helped me. It's a good read.
I also recommend creating your own mind maps on your PC. There's software called Freemind which will help you. It was actually Rene from GNS3vault that got me onto this. All you need to pass really.I'm an Xpert at nothing apart from remembering useless information that nobody else cares about. -

Train Signal series ia also good.
For reference purpose, Odom's book is very good.[ ]CCDA; [ ] CCNA Security -
