what's the official term of it:
RD: Reported Distance
or
AD: Advertised Distance
I keep reading different terms in different sources.

Zartanasaurus Member Posts: 2,008 ■■■■■■■■■□Same thing. It's very confusing to people new to Cisco, especially when AD is also Administrative Distance (mostly unrelated).
Remember that the RD/AD is the metric from the point of view of your neighbor's route table. I prefer RD to avoid the confusion.Currently reading:
