in CCNA & CCENT
Ok so I have the following lab equipment and I'm not sure where to begin.
831 router
1721 router
2621 router
3550 layer 3 switch
2x 2950 switches
vpn concentrator
I have been studying for CCENT off and on for a year and done some labs with packet tracer. Now with the new deadline I am kicking it in 5th gear. I don't understand how my lab would be helpful without hosts (end devices) to tests vlans, routing, switching etc.
How should I set this up?

or you could look into something like this - 101 Labs for the Cisco CCNA Exam: Paul W Browning, Farai Tafa, Stuart Juggins: 9780955781520: Amazon.com: Books2015 goals - ccna voice / vmware vcp. -
Futura Member Posts: 191make a megatron. seriously, I asked myself the same question once with all the kit I had.
so I decided to use as many things I could think of to get internet running through all the devices.
You need to decide on a little project for yourself, then go for it.
get internet running through every device or something for a start.
set up every device with secure out of band management.
Set up some local admin accounts, and assign acls to your ssh line,
Lots to do. Its truly addictive. -
Somnipotent Member Posts: 384You don't need hosts. You can simulate outside networks with loopbacks. Most of your labs will deal with routing protocols and seeing how things actually play out. And that's a lot of stuff for a CCENT studies.Reading: Internetworking with TCP/IP: Principles, Protocols, and Architecture (D. Comer)
