Each time when a router is shut down, do all routes in its routing table get wiped clean? And when a router restarts, does it re-generates the routes and populate its routing table freshly? When are routing table kept? RAM? Flash? or NVRAM? Thanks.

Static routes are learned through the configuration of the router so they are populated at startup whent he config is loaded. Dynamic routes are learned through routing protocols so these routes are ony learned when information is exchanged. An expert is a man who has made all the mistakes which can be made.
