Financial Aid for certification training?

Is is possible to find places that will give you grants to take certification classes in your career field? Sort of like that Lesko guy on informercials that says "get paid to write a novel, get paid to start a business". And if there are no programs that can provide grants are there any tax writeoffs you could use because you are paying to school yourself in your chosen field of work?

None that I know about. The closest thing I know is if you work for a computer company, sometimes they'll pay for the certification test themselves. Other than that, I wouldn't know what to tell ya.
