reverse DNS
hey guys/girls...I am curious to how everyone sets up their reverse DNS between a VPN connection? I know how mine is setup, but once in a great while the vpn looses mapped drives becasue of DNS & then I reconnect with an IP..Does anyone have a good method they use?

hi garv,
if your have a full windows network then it is easy because you can use the DHCP/DNS feature that automatically register your client DNS name and setup a reverse-lookup DNS by associating a pointer record/PTR.
but i also have many windows-based DNS trouble when troubleshoot a messaging gateway antivirus - your DNS server doesnt quick enough to lookup names - so better to type in IP addr.the More I know, that is more and More I dont know.
