What Routers/Switches for LAB?

I was thinking about buying some 1841's, about 3 of them, would that be enough? Also, should I look into getting 2611xm's or 1760's or are those obsolete? What about building frame-relay and PPP multilink? Wic 1t or 2t? For switches I was thinking two 2950s and two 3550s? Advise?

You are on the right track, I use 1841, 3550 and 2950's in my rack. As far as WIC cards, I would suggest loading your 1841's with WIC-2T cards which will give you two Serial interfaces.

Type of router is arguable but switch wise you need the 3550, 3560 for L3 and 2950, 2960's for L2
    Modularity and Design Simplicity:

Think of the 2:00 a.m. test—if you were awakened in the
middle of the night because of a network problem and had to figure out the
traffic flows in your network while you were half asleep, could you do it?

Okay thanks for the info I ordered:

Two of these - Cisco Catalyst 3550 Series 24 Port Switch, WS-C3550-24-EMI
Two of these - Cisco 2950 Series 24 Port Switch, WS-C2950-24

Where should I buy the 1841's from? Same site? I want to buy 3 of them.
