Something I kind of stumbled upon when researching how to get the hands on experience with Server 2012 without all of the hassle of setting up virtual machines, you can always turn to Boson to assist you with hands on labs. They offer a service where you pay $149 and they set up a few virtual servers/workstations and they have you complete labs that help you get the hands on with Cert objectives for the MCSA 2012. For me this is ideal because I hate setting up virtual machines on my home machine.

As setting up and configuring virtual servers is part of the exams, why not set up your own anyway? Makes sense.

I would recommend setting a lab on your own. That is the point. I did that for my Windows server 2012 test and its worked out well.
