Passed CISSP today
Hello, Guys!
Today I pass CISSP.
About me.
10 years in IT, 6 years in Information Security.
About exam preparation.
For exam preparation I use:
- Shon Harris 5th edition - overheaded book. After second chapter go to Eric Conrad.
- Eric Conrad 2nd edition - perfect.
- Official guide 2nd edition - good basis book.
- CCCURE paid version - perfect engine, help to found weakest knowledge.
- CISSP Exam Prep Questions, Answers & Explanations: 800+ question with detailed solution - good
- Shon Harris: Practice Exam - did not help really.
I use the following method for training:
1) Read book first time and make notes to writing-book with common knowledge in each domain. Answer on question after each chapter.
2) Read book second time and make new notes that I loose first time.
3) Go to CCCURE and make about 75 tests. I'm turnover questions in each domain minimum twice. Most tests have After test I review incorrect answers to know why it incorrect and the exlanation from author is very helped. My average score is about 75-85%. In latest tests I have about 85-90%.
4) Also hit tests from "CISSP Exam Prep Questions, Answers & Explanations: 800+ question with detailed solution". It mostly have another style of question in compare with CCCURE.
On steps 1-2 I spend about 3 month. I don't everyday read books.
Steps 3-4 was in last 3 weeks before exam. Every day I spend about 4-5 hours.
About exam.
A day before exam I'm not studiyng and try to relaxing.
At day of exam I go to testing center near 30 minutes before exam started.
I answer on all questions in about 5 hours and marked for review about 10-15 question. In 1-2 of them I change initial answer.
Thank community for help in preparation!

stephens112 Registered Users Posts: 1 ■□□□□□□□□□I just took the exam today and received a 645. I really want to start studying again, but I know I need a couple of days of rest and jump back into it. Any advice for me. I used the following books - Shon Harris - Exam prep, (ISC)^2 2nd edition, and cccure.org. Thanks in advance!
