What do you mean "how in depth"? You either can do it or you can't.

I haven't taken (nor will I take) 410, but in the 2,200+ Microsoft questions I have faced on an exam, I have had exactly 1 direct subnetting question where I needed to choose the correct mask for the specified number of hosts. MS won't be that direct, that would be too easy. Rather, you need to be able to identify the symptoms of an incorrect subnet mask. It's not just binary - decimal - hexadecimal like a networking exam, you need to be able to apply that subnetting and routing knowledge to a Microsoft client/server environment.

I had a several questions related to figuring out the subnet mask needed for a given number of hosts. I would prepare to be able to know how to do that.
