I passed 70-417 this week and now studying for 70-413. I have just started the short (But hopefully sweet) MSpress book.

Have you planned on what resources you are going to use for 70-414? I checked Amazon and the MSpress is not released until 31st October this year!! I don't really want to drag it out that long, so I am looking for alternatives.... I am hoping 70-413 won't take me too long as I put a lot of time into studying for 70-417, so that should help.

Yay ! Off to 70-414 . Have ITIL-F and CoE 333 in Between though !

Congratulations!!!

How did you find the exam overall? When you failed the first time was that because it is a hard exam? Or is it Microsoft tricky, catch you out wording in the question again?

Also sorry to repeat my previous question again but I am curious:

No problem.

Firstly I flunked because of the lack of understanding of the testlet requirements.

1. Microsoft wants you to think they way they think.
2. There is a difference in the way Microsoft thinks and the way things are done in a real scenario.

Re-exam : Put Microsoft's way of thinking before applying my experience.

For 70-414 as far as I know there is only one resource i.e the Exam - Ref and the CBT Nuggets. Am going to use both of them to try cracking the exam for the first attempt.

If that does not work , I shall wait for the book and try the second attempt.

This week Redhat Certificate of Expertise - Network and Services Security 333 exam to be cracked ! A Re-Exam though ! Failed the last two attempts !

70-414 scheduled for the 14th of June. Lets see how this goes !

Oh well that is what second shot is for, time to regroup and try again!

Do you think the lack of material was a factor here? Or was it the same issue you mentioned for the 70-413 having to think the "Microsoft" way? Or was it generally difficult?

Lack of material was felt.

Also the Microsoft way. Sometimes they just want you to upgrade to Windows Server 2012 for no apparent reason !

Lets hope the retake goes well.

This is the last Microsoft exam for the year ! Unless my company pays for the rest !

Passed the 70-414 just now. 790/1000.

Off to the next level MCSE : Messaging. In October though.

No not just yet. I have given the MSpress book a once over, however I have been busy studying for ICND2. As soon as ICND2 is out of the way I will concentrate on 70-413. Getting my CCNA is priority for me at the moment though. I too will need to do the MCSE: Messaging, but I also want to do MCSE: Desktop Infrastructure. Have you considered this? Again the MSpress books are not available yet.
