Fibre speed and capicity chart
Hi,
does any one have an uptodate chart showing speed and distances fibre can support? The latest I have shows multimodal om1 supports 10gig at 33 meters, om2 88meters, and om3 and 4 over 500m with special launching conditions.
If you had to support 10gig at 100 to 200 meter runs would you go mm or sm? In the past I would always have said sm, but I know fibre technology has moved on in the last few years while I have been out of it.
Cheers

Anymore the discussion around MM and SM really depends somewhat less on distance (if you are less than 2KM) and more on the durability of the fiber and the cost of the optics.

I would LOVE a chart of all the distances with MM and SM fiber, every time I do this (which lately has been frequently) I have to dive into 3 different sources to get all the information I need. -
