    How would you say the CHFI exam compares to the CEH?

    I felt that the CEH was more difficult. More commands, protocols, tools......the CHFI was more common sense, some legalese, and 'thinking' as more of an administrator (mgt. flavored). There was more emphasis on types of storage media and maintaining the the chain of evidence, but I think I could have watched several episodes of CSI and Law and Order and had that down.

    For what its worth, I don't work in security, or as an Admin of any kind, I got my CEH last month, and I took this test in 24 minutes, after studying hard for about 2 weeks, around a standard 8-5 job, and a family.

    Im going to start working on my CCENT, now. I work for a healthcare security company, so I figure that the combination of security certs and some networking will be useful. Many of our newer products run on an ILON server background, with the software using SQL, and the physical access point monitors hooked up in a combination of Cat 5 and RS485 and broadcasting via radio. Lots of different areas to get into with supporting that equipment.
