. I am interested in Security. after reading some posts from the forum I have came across CEH . is it the right certification to start with???

I'm a newbie myself, but I think it depends on what you want to do in the security field.
CompTIA Security+ is probably a better place to start. It covers IT Security ideas. Stuff like what ports do what, how encryption works, and what you can do to make your network more secure. CompTIA CASP, ISC2 CISSP, and CISA expand on these from a manager/policy writer's perspective.
C|EH appears to be about Penetration Testing. How to find vulnerabilities in a network environment so that they can be secured. C|EH might be a good place to start in this field, although I've read that it's not exactly "entry level".
