GNS3 not able to assign ip addresses to computers

I'm still struggling with subnetting and setting correct ipv4 addresses to devices in a network topology.
From the router to the switch I can ping and ssh into each device with no issues.

For the virtual pc, whenever I try to set an ip address, gateway and subnet, I keep getting the following error

Of course, since I don't have a solid understanding of subnetting, I don't understand what it is I'm doing that is causing the issue.
