netsh -c interface **** > c:\nic.txt ; no DNS ?
jibbajabba
I swear I used to use this command to export the IP informations and imported them again if a server needed a reinstall etc.
Now colleagues noticed that the output does not include any DNS informations.
And it is indeed true - they are missing now out of a sudden .. Well sudden, they used to be there anyway.
When did that change and does anyone know how to export / import the DNS settings using that method ? That is for 2008R2 btw.
I know you can set the DNS using netsh as well, but you need the ID of the NIC to do so, it would be a lot easier / better if there would be a way to simply export / import.
Thanks.
Mike
