1721, 1751 or something else?

Preparing to study for a CCNA. Have just ordered 2 x 2950T switches for starters and am looking for router recommendations. A friend who is already a CCNA recommended getting a couple of 1721s. I was thinking 1751s would be better, but I'd like to get other folks input. Budget is limited so whatever I can get as cheap as possible along with advice on what cards and cables I would need as well, would be good. Thanks in advance.
