I've been studying for ccna security since October. I am pretty confident with aaa, acl, protecting at the data level ccp etc... I have been using gns but have been limited with practicing on asa, ips. Finally have a cisco account and wanted to know what ios are most beneficial for practicing with asa,ips, asdm

For the CCNA Security you will have to be familiar with CCP and know your way around it, so I would advise you to concentrate more on it for this exam. Practicing with the ASA, IPS, ASDM will be more for the CCNP.
