How do you know when you are ready?

What if you have been reading for months, years, taking practice exams and just dont feel ready?
I test myself and can tell that I'm at a loss for words when I have to answer questions. Sometimes the answer is on the tip of my tonge.
When I take practice exams, online or ones that come w/ book cds, I'll find myself stumpted on some answers where two seem to be the answer and can't figure out one.
Other times I have made a little note on something that I don't recall reading about. Look up the topic and can't find it listed in all five of my CCNA books I have. (list them below). Or I will find the topic and the definition or sentence that it is mentioned still doesnt clarify the question in the practice exam. Or the description is so complex and vague it doesnt help me when I need to answer it on a practice exam. I understand they want this stuff to be as hard as possible to ensure we pass the exam but it doesnt help when the sentence is vague and doesnt really explain in full details. (which I have heard Cisco Press does).

I will disagree with this statement 99% of the time. I never found Cisco to be vague on asking questions. I have found them asking questions that were a bit to factual but never vague. Vague... is a word I would use more for a MS test than anything else."To realize one's destiny is a person's only obligation."
