Can I ask a question about Windows Workgroup Network ?
estergon
Hi,
I have 2 PCs at home.
One
is my everytime one and
other
I just want to use for everything regardless any virus from internet.
Even though I put them different workgroups, they still see each other and files marked as "share" on my main PC still available for share. Some folders on my main PC is in share because I connect them from my mobile time to time.
Can you help, how can I stop workgroup sharing ? Or why are they still seeing eachother??. It is clear they are in different workgroups.
I just dont want them see each other.
Thanks

Curious, are you new to Windows? I only ask because this is a very basic task.

Hi Cyberguypr,
Thank you for your answer
I was expecting, different workgroups can not see each other, but i understand its not like this.
Windows networking supports multiple workgroups, and workgroup
membership has no effect on whether computers can access each other.
If two computers can access each other when they're in the same
workgroup, they can access each other when they're in different
workgroups, too...
I think I have to create VLAN to do what I want.
