Question about Ethernet switches

I just started studying for the Network+ and I am having trouble understanding why an Ethernet switch is a logical bus topology? I would think it is a physical/logical star topology considering packets will be directed only to the nodes they are addressed to?

If your talking about just one switch then bus topology is correct. This is true because all traffic is being routed through the one logical bus. A switch is smart enough not forward every packet out every port in a single switch set up the traffic is still confined in the one logical bus.
