What is the limit for Internal Training that can be taken ?

chanakyajupudichanakyajupudi Member Posts: 712
Hey

I have never been a part of a company that has its own internal training department. This resulting in my enrolling in 50-60 Hours of training per month.

All this beyond my working hours.

Advice required on how much is too much ?

That's a question to ask your boss. Typically, online training costs them nothing. In-person training only costs them something if there was a paying customer who would've taken the seat OR your company has a policy to bill internally for training.

My Boss has no complaints as long as it does not interfere with my work.

Second , they are getting billed per seat but it does not come out of his budget . It comes out of a budget that is earmarked every year for training in general. We have offices worldwide now. And we have something called a master budget. Their only worry is to make each one who enrolls actually attend the entire class and just not register and bail out after receiving the material.

Then it is up to you really. If you don't want to appear as if you are taking the p** - just ask what people usually do ?

But the main thing is, take what you can handle yourself. At the end of the day only you know how much time you can invest.
