I renewed my CCNA this morning by passing the ICND2 again (907 woot).
If I pass, say, the CCNA Security or some equivalent exam after the changes to the CCNA coming this September, will that renew my CCNA as well just like it would now before the changes to the CCNA?

Yes that would extend your CCNA cert for 3 years from that date. But if you just passed ICND2 today you only gain ~2 months when you pass the next exam in Sept. -

That's my plan: Keep getting new certs (CCNP, CCNA Specialties, etc...) so I don't have to retake anything unless and until I hit CCIE.R&S: CCENT → CCNA → CCNP → CCIE [ ]
Security: CCNA [ ]
Virtualization: VCA-DCV [ ]
