Idea for a possible sticky for those new to IT

Given that so many people ask "where do I start in IT" how about some of us get together (digitally) and create a sort of "Intro to IT". We could given general information on path's to follow (Networking, Windows, Linux, etc) and associated certificates?
I remember my early days of IT and I had no idea which path I should follow.

This is a great idea so many people ask, and the thing no matter what path you want to take it seems like many of the paths meet somewhere in the middle, because all areas of IT have some similarities. I would love to help with from what I know since I've ventured the beginning of many paths. (Networking,Windows Servers, Security, and Hardware) Never knew where to first start 2 years ago, but luckily the class I'm still in touches a little bit of everything. PM if we get more people to help with this.
