Taking test next week
dj_kenshin
So I'm taking security+ next week and I'm looking for a couple of good sites to keep everything fresh in my head. I have Darril's book that i've been reading, been watching videos on Professor Messer's site and I just picked up Measureup practice test. Is there anything else I should be looking at?
Thanks!

I used Darill's book and CBT nugget videos. But the book is awesome. I passed after failing it, read his book and totally killed the exam.
I think if you just skim over the book again a hour or two before the exam you should be fine.
good luck.

Main things to keep fresh in your head: Ports (Mainly Well-Known), PKI's, and basic Encryption (sym and asym). The rest should come pretty easy. See if you can get your hands on the ExamCram summarization sheet or just create your own with the items listed above. Good Luck!

. Congrats on your perseverance and pursuing the exam even after failing it the first time.

Thanks to everyone, and to Darril for your excellent book I was able to pass my Security + exam. Not the best score, but I needed to finish it before fall classes started up today. Up next for me will be either CCENT or Project+. For college, I'm in Project+ class so I'm debating about pushing for CCENT or being patient for a while.
Thanks again
Darril
Congrats on the pass. Glad to hear the book helped.
Good luck on whatever you choose to pursue next.
