sputnic68 Member Posts: 65 ■■□□□□□□□□Well, we just got a deadline to get the network implemented by Jan 13th so we will be working our arse off! The idea is going to be splitting the two AS's into two physically different cores for ease of management and configuration in that amount of time. The more we looked at integrating the two cores the harder the implemetation was going to be. It would be fine for a small amount of servers but as the data center grows we would be updating distribute lists and security hourly just to keep the network stable for routing. I will send the new network design so everyone has an idea of what I'm talking about.

sputnic68 Member Posts: 65 ■■□□□□□□□□Well, looks like we'll be putting up this data center network within a month and migrating the previous data center server (90 servers) by Jan 13th. Talk about fast pace!!!! I'll keep everyon updated.

sputnic68 Member Posts: 65 ■■□□□□□□□□Update: We have installed the Office LAN 6509 and the ASA5510 for the firewall. We proposed a new networking design that still awaits approval. We still have to be migrated by January 13th so we'll be looking at renting similar equipment and then replacing it when the new stuff comes in.
