I just passed my 70-210 yesterday. What is the deal with Microsoft letting you write your 2nd exam free? Is this true?

The 2nd shot program would have allowed you to fail your first try at any given exam, and get a free retake of that exam. Only on free retake for each exam. You had to register through M$, then contact Vue or Prometric to set up the retake. Of course, it's past tense because the offer expired in August, so you'll have to pony up for the rest of your exams.
