Stumped on potential phone call with Regional Director
I managed to get a reply from a high-level person, who is the Regional Director of an established company in NYC. He is free to chat with me this Thursday or Friday morning since he is traveling. I have created questions to ask him on entering the networking field as an NOC tech. or Jr. Network Eng. but yet doesn't feel they are insightful, what type of questions should I ask that are not too standard (i.e.why you pick this company to work at, how did you end up in tech, etc)?

An interviewer who asks questions to try to impress me is extremely unimpressive. I would show respect for their time, by asking whatever questions you need to, to decide whether the job is one you would accept.
