VB Scripting Class ideas

My Company wants me to take some sort of scripting class. Mainly this is for software deployment using our Kaseya Server that does software deployments. I would like to take a class at New Horizons that is more like Server+ or a Microsoft Server Admin course that also has some scripting involved but not the primary objective. I will mainly be using this skill to deploy software. I think learning SCCM or MDT is a better option but I need some White Papers to justify it. Im currently a Sr. Desktop Support Role that manages our WDS, Kaseya, WSUS and Symantec Endpoint Server. I would rather learn a useful skill then just VB scripting which I can allready write batch/command scripts. I need some ideas on some parrallel course I can take to meet these criterias. All ideas are welcome!

Sapien have some VB & Powershell CBT training packages... There is also the Microsoft Scripting Games which is now over but you could participate next year (there is prizes worth a total of $25000 now!).
