in CCNA & CCENT
I am studying for CCENT. I came across pinouts. Does Cisco really test you on the color scheme?

Nobody can tell you what is actually on the exam without violating NDA and risking their certification. -

Studying for the same test here, I don't recall the book emphasizing color scheme so much as to what the difference in straight through and crossover cables are. Which devices use which cables between them and which pins they transmit/receive on. However when I'm making a cable I use what I believe is a standard o/w, o, g/w, b, b/w, g, br/w, b for straight through cables. I've only made a crossover cable once so I just google the color scheme for that although I'll probably have it memorized come test time as well. -

Eh, I'd have to look it up to make one. At one point I knew it though.... -

The information is on both the Net+ and the CCENT, and important. However I didn't memorize the colors themselves, just understood the concept, and I was fine on both exams.Goals for 2018:
Certs: RHCSA, LFCS: Ubuntu, CNCF CKA, CNCF CKAD | AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Solutions Architect Pro, AWS Certified Security Specialist, GCP Professional Cloud Architect
Learn: Terraform, Kubernetes, Prometheus & Golang | Improve: Docker, Python Programming
To-do | In Progress | Completed -
