Has anyone ever legitimately used APIPA?
You know, that addressing assignment that takes place when the DHCP process fails. Has anyone got a network that runs on addresses the 169.254.0.0/16 range?

An isolated network that uses NetBIOS instead of DNS can use APIPA. Not a real-world scenario (no default gateway = no Internet access), but still.
