Took exam today

in Server 70-290
Hi all,

I took the exam today for the first time and scored 775. I was quite surprised on some of the areas I wasn't tested:

-Disk Storage Management & Dynamic disks.

-AD command-line utils likes DSADD, CSVDE, DSMOVE etc

I only had 1-2 questions on Disaster Recovery as well, which I felt was my strongest area. No mention of the System State backup and restoring AD via Directory Services mode.

Is this the case with Microsoft exams ? Maybe if I took it again I would be tested in these areas ?

    First of all, congrats on your pass!!

    Microsoft has a bank of questions which cover all the test objectives. You just didn't get a set that covered everything. The next person "should" get a different set of question.

    Congrats on the pass.

    My test was totally opposite. I got about 10 questions on Disaster Recovery and quite a few on logical devices.

    I only had about 1-3 on dsadd and other command line utilites.

    This is a hard test. Congrats again.

    Congrats!!

    I take mine on the 17th of next month. Just curious on how many simulations, drag n drop questions etc you got on your exam? Jus so i know what to expect!

    Also what were the main areas that you were tested on

    I had around 4 sims, mainly concentrating on AD & NTFS\Share permissions. Also had a sim on SUS.

    Also received quite a few drag and drop questions. A number of the questions were quite short also.

    Now onto the 70-291. I can't decide whether to go for the E-Learning course from Microsoft or the CBT Nuggets video ? I just read the MS Press book for 70-290 and did the labs etc etc

    Can anyone offer me any guidance.......?
