Will studying for the 640-822 hurt in taking the 100-101?

in CCNA & CCENT
I'm comparing the exam objectives for both and while they are there is a difference, I am wondering if someone who fully understands the material from the 640-822 exam can pass the 100-101 without having to purchase new material?

You might be able to pass by studying for the full CCNA (640-822 + 640-816 or 640-802), but not just the old CCENT (640-822). FWIW, 100-101 no longer includes Wireless or RIP, so you could omit those topics from your studies. You would probably need to supplement with some material on IPv6.R&S: CCENT → CCNA → CCNP → CCIE [ ]

Basically, if you don't pass 822 by the deadline, you would need to take 100-101. 100-101 is comparable to 640-802, which is the current Composite CCNA with a few additions and deletions.
