in CCNA & CCENT
Is it neccessary to have physical work exerience on hardware(routers/switch) to crack CCNA exam.

It is should be enought to make CCNA labs in new PT6 which includes routers with IOS 15 or GNS3,however access to real equipment is always advantage.

Physical Hardware. For the CCNA, No. But, some hands-on experience...be it GNS3 or Packet Tracer is advisable. If you want to continue on to other tracks (Voice, Security, etc...) or further on with R&S (CCNP, CCIE) physical hardware becomes a must.R&S: CCENT → CCNA → CCNP → CCIE [ ]

NetworkVeteran Member Posts: 2,338 ■■■■■■■■□□No. CCNA/CCNP/CCIE validate that you have experience with IOS, but don't validate that you have experience with physical hardware. Packet Tracer, Netsim, GNS3, or physical equipment are all fine choices or CCNA..

DoubleNNs Member Posts: 2,015 ■■■■■□□□□□You should know about cables and the basics of the different types of memory. Also things like link lights and status lights on a router/switch. You don't need to know much beyond that - just IOS expGoals for 2018:
