ICND 2 vs. 640-802 test

I took the full 640-802 CCNA test recently and didn't do so well (thought I'm working to rectify that now). For those of you who have taken it and the ICND 2 tests, do you consider it easier or harder than the full 802 test? I know theoretically it shouldn't be any different, but reality sometimes says different.

Looking at it from "is it easier or harder" is the wrong approach.

The composite exam is for experienced individuals wishing to become certified. It's a "shortcut" in that it is one exam, however as you now know it covers all aspects of ICND1 and ICND2

You either know it or you don't. So I would break it down just as Cisco intended

    Composite - 1-2yrs experience

    ICND Exams - Beginners/Inexperienced

The thing is, when you split the exams you will certainly run into more material on the subjects because the test is based on the ICND book. Whereas the Composite obviously condenses ICND1 & 2 into one test.
    Modularity and Design Simplicity:

Think of the 2:00 a.m. test—if you were awakened in the
middle of the night because of a network problem and had to figure out the
traffic flows in your network while you were half asleep, could you do it?
