I just got my my VCP5-DCV over the weekend, and I am tossing around the idea of going for the VCAP5-DCA next.
I have a few questions about the VCAP5-DCA exam.
1. Can you use notes on the exam? If so, do you have to turn them in when your done?
2. Is each of the 26 objectives timed?
3. Is the exam more about setting things up (configuring) vs. fixing thing?
4. Do the 26 objectives build upon each other?
5. Do you have to login to the console via putty and use any commands for any of objectives?
6. Does VMware grade on the end results or do they grade on the whole process?
Thanks!

2. No. Overall exam is timed.
3. Both.
4. Some do.
5. Maybe.
6. I believe you get partial credit, but not 100% sure.2018 Certification Goals: Maybe VMware Sales Cert

Recent: 11/2019 - RHCSA (RHEL 7); 2/2019 - Updated VCP to 6.5 (just a few days before VMware discontinued the re-cert policy...)
Working on: RHCE/Ansible
Future: Probably continued Red Hat Immersion, Possibly VCAP Design, or maybe a completely different path. Depends on job demands...
