Booting from 2nd Drive options?
I have a HD1 in my box. I boot from it and have all my WOrd/Excel/Cert Quiz software/etc.. on it.
I want to pull that drive and put it in my NEW box (which allready has a booting XP OS on it, HD2).
I know that once I move HD1 to HD2's bo that I will only be able to access HD1 files. What I want to do is have the option to INSERT a Floppy/Thumb/etc pointing the Bootldr to the HD1.
Im pretty sure a BIOS Boot order would be simpler but for various reasons I want to make it harder to access. Any quick and easy solutions?

johnnynodough Member Posts: 634edit the boot.ini file and you can choose to boot from either at system startup. If the Second box's HAL is differnt (system chipset in particular) you wont be able to run the OS off that second box without doing a repair.Go Hawks - 7 and 2
