410 update?

Hi All,

A friend is taking the 410 soon, but is concerned about it being updated with more info. I believe the update coincides with the R2 release of Server 2012, correct?
According to this site (don't know how trustworthy this site is), it is Oct 18:
Microsoft to release Windows Server 2012 R2 on October 18th, alongside Windows 8.1 | WinBeta

Does that mean Oct 17 is the last day to take the older 410 test?

Yeah there was a previous thread. The last month for RTM (non-R2) exams is January 2014. Windows 8.1 content is January as well.

Awesome! Thanks so much! I thought the 410 had to be taken by Oct, but Jan 2014 is a nice cushion! I think I may change my cert plans and join my friend in going for the 410 before it changes.

Yeah not sure now, use December as a guideline anyways. It could be changing January 1st or January 31st.. just thinking about it. You should get it done before then anyways.. check out my 70-410 thread for TechNet articles. Good luck with your studies!
