UC520 FXO issue

I've had my UC520W running for a couple of months now, but have noticed at least 2 of the 4 built-in FXO ports have died (yet to test the final 2). No lightning strikes to blame it on. Anyone know if this is a known weak point?
I got a SMARTNET quote @ $480, but as the unit only cost me $500...doubles my outlay
. Alternative is to get a VIC2-FXO @ $120...
Any thoughts or suggestions?

I've never heard of them breaking before, but the UC520 are pretty old boxes. I would get a SIP trunk and be done with it. Thats pretty pricy for smart net for a box that is going away.Currently Reading

Yeah, very pricey. Already running a SIP trunk on it with answer points in 2 cities to allow family to ring for the price of a local call.
Played around with it again at the weekend...bizarre...came good after the 3rd reload and after rolling back to the previous IOS. Some things just can't be explained.
