Passed! SY0-301
Passed with an 800. I referred a lot of people here towards the tech notes...The simulations weren't as bad as I thought they would be...

jfuller01 Member Posts: 8 ■□□□□□□□□□Thanks all! I used Sybex's Sec+ book and I had a class Sec+ this week, which honestly just solidified the information I knew and put confidence in myself, as well as looking over the notes on here. The other questions weren't that hard.
I had 6 simulations which led to a total of 75 questions.
One was implementing security controls in an building
One was looking at security logs of firewalls and other network devices to see which failed most secure
Two was recognizing attacks based on descriptions
One was placing items in order of volatility
One was setting up an ACL
I feel like Sec+ is more managerial and Net+ is more technical. I'm going to a network management security course, which is just 40 CE hours. I will have 80 hours after that. I'm going to be studying Net+ and TCP/IP administration on top of that so when I get Net+, I'll be more prepared to take on CCNA and progress into CISSP and CEH. EDIT: OHK....CEH might be off the list. I'm reading more and more negative than positive things about the lack of experience...I'm 100% in agreement that having the ability to understand and perform is more important than having a cert that say I passed a test.
I'm also currently in the process of enrolling in WGU for a BA in IT. If you have any comments on that, please let me know!
Thank you again everyone! -
