Access Interface

Could someone give an example for my understanding, as to when access interface would be needed.
Access interface - Non trunking interface assigned to VLAN.
Access interface - Non trunking interface assigned to VLAN.

Access is when you need a single VLAN allowed on the port. If you need multiple VLANs then you use a trunk.An expert is a man who has made all the mistakes which can be made.
