I passed TSHOOT today, it was by far the easiest for me. I now have the CCNP and am ready to start down another path.
My advice is to check out the exam topology way ahead of time and build it out in in your home lab/PT/GNS3, this will save you a tremendous amount of time as every "ticket" is worked on the same topology. My personal troubleshooting methodology is to start at the client, verify layer 3 addressing, and ping/traceroute/sh ip route/sh run until I find the last non-working device in the chain, and then start eliminating possible causes.
Never, never, never assume or guess what the problem is, they are testing on your troubleshooting skills, not your intuition. I almost messed up on a question because I thought I knew what the issue was. My biggest take away was that there are a hundred different causes for a single issue.
I did not really study long for this one, just kind of flipped through the book, and watched a few INE videos until I felt like scheduling the exam. Because of the exam format it felt like a regular day in a NOC job so if you have 3 - 5 years networking experience I doubt it will be hard to pass this exam.

My advice to anyone looking to advance their career would be to learn DevOps tools and methodologies. Learn how to write code in languages like Python and JavaScript. Not to be a programmer, but a network automation specialist who can do the job of 10 engineers in 1/3 of the time. Create a GitHub account, download PyCharm, play with Ansible, Chef, or Puppet. Automation isn't the future, it's here today and the landscape is changing dramatically.
